JASON MORAN AND THE BANDWAGON FINDING A LINE: SKATEBOARDING, MUSIC AND MEDIA
The Ford Theatres and CAP UCLA tapped us to help them produce Finding a Line: Skateboarding, Music and Media––an unprecedented collaboration exploring the intersection of skateboarding, jazz, and media. Specifically, we produced a 2-hour long skateboarding film screening of shorts featuring some of the best skateboarding filmmakers in the world. We also collaborated with Ben Ashworth of Finding A Line to engage the local Los Angeles skate community in the weeks prior to the event. He built a unique quarter pipe, painted by local skateboarder/artist Jesse Hotchkiss, and we brought the ramp to multiple skate spots throughout the city and documented sessions with the locals, eventually incorporating those sessions into the film screening.
